In Tamil Nadu Pay of the newly appointed Secondary grade teacher is degraded from the scale of 4500-125-7000 to 3200-85-4900 w.e.f 1.6.2009 whereas Central Govt upgraded the scale to 6500-200-10500 w.e.f 1.1.2006 ?
1. On initial appointment on or after 1.6.2009 pay is fixed at Rs.8000.
As per CCS (Revised Pay) Rules,2008 The pay has to be fixed at Rs.11,360 (corresponding to grade pay of Rs.2800). [vide the table given in Rule 8 of Section- II of Part-A of the 1st schedule of Govt. of India, CCS (Revised Pay) Rules,2008].(copy enclosed-page No.43 )
Initial pay for GP 4200 is Rs.13,500. Initial pay for GP 2000 is Rs.8,460. Initial pay for GP 1900 is Rs.7,730.
Hence, it is evident that the pay is degraded to below GP 2000 scale (ie, below 3200-85-4900).
2. Central Govt. Secondary grade teacher’s pay on initial appointment is fixed at Rs.13,500 (corresponding to grade pay 4200) w.e.f 1.1.2006. (copy enclosed page No.47)

4. Pay of the Graduate Teacher is upgraded to 7450-225-11500 from 5500-175-9000. ie, from grade pay Rs.4400 to 4600.vide GO No.23 dtd 12.01.2011. What parity with Central pay in Tamil Nadu in the case of Secondary grade? This truth may be brought to the notice of all concerned for remedial. |
